The role will be a part of our Business Performance team.
What we’re looking for
The Business Controller Group Functions drives effective financial control and performance monitoring of projects and operations. Alongside the Senior Business Controller Group Functions, this position produces and tracks targets for group SGA and all corporate function P&amp;Ls, forecasts costs, analyzes variances, and provides actionable insights to support decision-making. The role collaborates closely with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments to ensure accurate cost reporting and financial integrity.

Responsibilities
<li>Alongside the Sr. Business Controller Group Functions, act as finance business partner for corporate functions (e.g. Finance, HR, IT, Sales etc.).</li>

<li>Implement and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and reporting standards for the group’s SGA, covering both projects and operations.</li>

<li>Monitor project and operational targets, ensuring expenditures are in line with approved financial plans.</li>

<li>Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing explanations for deviations.</li>

<li>Coordinate with project managers and department heads to gather relevant financial data and cost drivers.</li>

<li>Support the target setting and planning process for all corporate functions, including preparation of long-term financial plans.</li>

<li>Analyze historical cost data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.</li>

<li>Review and validate contractor invoices, change orders, and other cost-related documents.</li>

<li>Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.</li>

<li>Provide financial input during contract negotiations and procurement planning.</li>

<li>Execute the group SGA transfer pricing through cost allocation models.X</li>
Qualifications
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.</li>

<li>Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project controls preferably in industries such as shipping, logistics, manufacturing etc.</li>

<li>Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.</li>

<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>

<li>Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.</li>
Nice to haves
<li>Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA, CIMA) is a plus.</li>

<li>Proficiency in financial software such as ERP systems, consolidation and forecasting tools, Excel etc. Working knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.</li>
