We&#39;re hiring a skilled and passionate SOUS CHEF (Full-time position) 
-- Que Pasa, Hamar -- Latin American flavor meets culinary ambition --

Que Pasa is a Latin American-inspired restaurant located in the heart of Hamar. Our concept is rooted in bold flavors, colorful dishes, and authentic ingredients -- from Peruvian ceviche and Brazilian moqueca to Nikkei techniques and street food from Mexico. We are now looking for a Sous Chef who will work closely with our Head Chef and play a key leadership role in both the kitchen and the team.
<h3>Your responsibilities will include:</h3>
<ul><li>
Overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef
</li><li>
Ensuring high standards for food quality, hygiene, and safety
</li><li>
Leading the team during service and stepping in as kitchen manager when needed
</li><li>
Organizing prep lists, delegating tasks, and coordinating service flow
</li><li>
Contributing to seasonal menu development and creative input
</li><li>
Managing orders, stock control, and minimizing food waste
</li><li>
Supporting training and onboarding of new chefs and apprentices
</li><li>
Collaborating closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless guest experience
</li></ul>
<h3>We are looking for someone who:</h3>
<ul><li>
Has formal culinary training
</li><li>
Has at least 2 years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Senior Line Cook, etc.)
</li><li>
Works well under pressure and keeps calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
</li><li>
Is passionate about bold flavors, regional ingredients, and cultural storytelling through food
</li><li>
Takes pride in leadership, teamwork, and high standards
</li><li>
Communicates clearly in English and/or Norwegian
</li></ul>
<h3>What we offer:</h3>

Full-time permanent position
</li><li>
Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 15-23 -- always off on Sundays and Mondays!
</li><li>
Guaranteed time off during Christmas (2 weeks), Easter (10 days), and autumn holidays (1 week)
