We're committed to leading a movement that redefines how we farm fresh, natural and sustainable seafood for ours and future generations. The Eide-group is a 3rd generation family-owned business with a vision to set the standard for the future of aquaculture. Eide produce healthy and sustainable seafood and is to our knowledge the world’s first and only CarbonNeutral® certified salmon producer. Through strategic initiatives such as Salmon Eye, Eide Sustainable Marine Technology, and WaterMoon we furthermore challenge the status quo towards a more sustainable seafood production.
The people working at Eide are our backbone. Their concern is for the fish, each other, and the future. Every year we sell approximately 4,5 million salmon to markets all over the world. That’s 90 million meals! We are currently working towards further developing our offering and aim to sell a wide variety of healthy and sustainable seafood products in the future.
Salmon Eye opened on September 2nd 2022, and is a state-of-the-art monument in the middle of the spectacular Hardanger Fjord. Salmon Eye is a forum meant to inspire and inform the world on how to better feed the planet with sustainable seafood. Visually stunning, with it’s double curved ellipsoid design, Salmon Eye is one of the world’s largest enterable floating art installations. Our aim is to see aquaculture in a new evolutionary way.
Eide Sustainable Marine Technology is currently developing break-through innovations within aquaculture. The new WaterMoon technology is developed in ESMT and is an important strategic part of the Eide group, enabling us to produce in a revolutionary way. The initiative will enable a paradigm shift in our industry and set a new standard for aquaculture.
