About the role
Stavanger Manufacturing is one of four plants in Laerdal Medical.
The Manufacturing team oversees the mechanical tool shop where molding tools for plastic molding is designed and produced. In manufacturing we mold plastic components and assemble and test patient simulators. We are also well a part of the broader group of Supply chain and manufacturing. The Manufacturing teams is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Engineer to enhance our processes and overall effectiveness. This role involves critically evaluating and improving current workflows to ensure best practices and sound decision-making based on solid technical and logical reasoning both locally, but you will also be challenged at looking synergies and optimalization with other sites in Laerdal. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various departments, from assembly to supply chain, and engage with all manufacturing sites in Laerdal.
Some of what you will be doing
<ul><li>
Participate in development projects to secure producibility, high quality and low cost.
</li><li>
Investigate quality problems found through nonconformance or customer complaint and ensuring thorough and efficient mitigations.
</li><li>
Work on continues improvements within products and production processes.
</li><li>
Facilitate, implement and coordinate production changes.
</li><li>
Be a driving force for lean thinking in production lines by utilizing the full scope of knowledge in the group.
</li><li>
Train / help operators to become skilled in problem solving by doing Kaizen events frequently
</li><li>
Improving First Pass yield.
</li></ul>
